New Group One winner for A Rocknroll Dance

Big Wheels is the latest Group One winner for A Rocknroll Dance after a tough, front-running win in the $100,550 QBred Triad 2YO Colts and Geldings Final at Albion Park on Saturday evening.

A last start winner of the Breeders Classic Big Wheels extended his winning streak to three races.

Going straight to the lead from his inside draw, the Chantal Turpin trained gelding kept the speed on throughout and had enough left in the tank to hold out the challenge of Dynamic Dan in the straight to score by a head.

The winning time of 1:54.4 for the mile trip was a new lifetime best for the talented juvenile.

Big Wheels has now won three races and placed a further three times from seven starts and has banked $78,845 in stakes-money.

Bred and raced by New South Wales’ John Poulson, Big Wheels is out of the nine-win Washington VC mare Washington Lass.

A Rocknroll Dance is enjoying a strong season in Australia in 2019-20 with 87 individual winners from 128 starters and a slew of stakes performers.
