New Group winner for Always B Miki

The Mark Hewitt trained Not To Be Denied is the latest southern hemisphere stakes winner for Always B Miki, with the 3yo filly powering home to take out the Group 3 Golden Easter Egg at Tabcorp Park, Menangle on Saturday evening in the fastest time recorded by a 3yo pacer this year.

Sweeping to the lead approaching the home turn, Not To Be Denied fought off the challenge of Miss Chantilly to win by a short half head in a career best time of 1:50.1.

As well as being the fastest time recorded by a 3yo pacer of either sex in 2022, her time was just 0.3 of a second outside of the Australasian record for a 3yo pacing filly.

The consistent filly has now won 7 of her 12 starts for earnings of $57,291.

Out of the wining Art Major mare Still In Denial, Not To Be Denied is a granddaughter of the Breeders Crown and Australian Pacing Gold Final winner Self Denial.
