New stakes winner for Vincent
The young Art Major stallion Vincent continues to impress at stud, producing his eighth Group Race winner, from just two crops of racing age, when Swiatek Leis claimed the Group 3 Evicus Final at Hobart on Saturday night.
The 2-year-old daughter of Vincent fought out a tight finish in the fillies $60,000 feature, going stride for stride with the race favourite in the straight before gamely getting the better of her to prevail by a half head on the line.
She has now won three of her five race-day starts and banked $61,775 in stakes earnings.
Swiatek Leis is out of the eight-win Armbro Operative mare Azarenka Leis.
Vincent is currently fifth on the Australian 2YO Pacing Sires List, behind only his champion sire Art Major and the established stallions Captaintreacherous, Sweet Lou and American Ideal.
