New stakes winner for Vincent

Vinette became the latest 2-year-old stakes winner from Vincent’s debut crop when taking out the Group 3 NSW Breeders Challenge Eastern Regional 2YO Fillies Final at Newcastle on Friday night.

The KerryAnn Morris trained filly sat on the leader’s back throughout before sprinting home the best to score by a neck from Threebushelsofoats.

It was Vinette’s maiden win and took her earnings to over $25,000.

Bred by Stardime Pty Ltd, Vinette is out of the 16-win Rocknroll Hanover mare Lettuce Go Pippa.

She is the ninth stakes performer from Vincent’s first crop of foals with the standout juveniles to date the dual New Zealand Group 1 runner-up Sherlock, the NZ Sapling Stakes winner Vinke B and the Breeders Crown Silver winner Our Vinnie.
