Pebble Beach fillies shine at The Red Mile

Pebble Beach’s first North American crop of 2-year-olds continues to impress, with the 2022 US 3YO Pacing Colt of the Year siring a winning treble at The Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky, today.

The feature race of the day, an $80,000 division of the Kentucky Championship Series, was taken out in style by his highly regarded daughter, Banana Beach, in a career-best time of 1:51.2.

It was her third win from just four starts, taking her earnings to $110,000.

She is out of the Sweet Lou mare Sweet Anna Banana.

A few races later, his daughter Goodwalkspoiled justified her short odds when winning a division of the Commonwealth Series in a sizzling time of 1:50 flat.

Goodwalkspoiled is now unbeaten in two race-day starts.

She is out of a daughter of Shadow Play.

The filly Cello Beach rounded out the winning treble for Pebble Beach with a comfortable 1:54.6 win in a Wildcat Series division.

Cello Beach is out of a Bettor’s Delight mare.
