Pebble Beach off to a flyer

Pebble Beach has wasted no time in producing his first race-day winners, with the son of Downbytheseaside siring three in recent days, including impressive Kentucky Sire Stakes opening round winner Banana Beach.

Banana Beach led throughout in her $40,000 division, winning comfortably by more than four lengths in a sharp 1:51.8 on Oak Grove’s 1000m track.

That time is the fastest recorded by a 2-year-old pacer in North America this season.

She is out of a Sweet Lou mare.
