Bar Room Banta notched up his second successive Group 1 NSW Breeders Challenge win when taking out the $150,000 3YO Colts and Geldings Final in impressive fashion at Menangle on Saturday night.

The son of A Rocknroll Dance did it the hard way too, starting from the extreme outside over the mile trip, he was parked out for the last half and still had the audacity to draw clear from Titian Raider in the straight to score by two lengths in a slick time of 1:50.7.

The win was the Michael Stanley trained pacer’s ninth and improved his lifetime earnings to $257,490.

Bred by Ray Cahill, Bar Room Banta is out of the Christian Cullen mare Jerada Ace, making him a half to this year’s Group 1 Garrards Golden Girl winner Jeradas Delight, who defeated the first two home in Saturday night’s Queen Of The Pacific, Amazing Dream and Spellbound in that race.
