The Mark Jones trained Hot To Trot put his best foot forward in the Listed Yamamoto Trotters Mile at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday night, leading from start to finish to win in a career best 1:55.5.

Taking luck out of the equation, after being unlucky not to get a clear run home the previous weekend, Hot To Trot speared to the lead off the gate and kept the speed strong throughout.

Challenged late by the multiple Group 1 winner Watts Up Majestic, who drew level in the straight, the son of Creatine dug deep to score by a half head at the line.

A Group 1 place-getter and New Zealand record holder, Hot To Trot has now won seven races and banked $91,090 in stakes earnings.

Hot To Trot is out of the unraced Sundon mare Lady Boo Kay.

It was a good week of results for Creatine in Australia with Sir Eros a dominant winner of the $25,000 Tontine Trotters Championship at Ararat on Wednesday and Albizia making it two wins from two Australian starts with a slick 1:56.2 win at Menangle on Tuesday.

Sir Eros, another Group 1 performer for Creatine out of a Sundon mare (Shining Star), is the winner of five races and just over $42,000 in stakes to date.

The Jarrod Alchin trained Albizia took her record to three wins and a placing from four starts.

Albizia is the first foal of the Monarchy mare Oak.

In New Zealand, the first crop daughter of Creatine, Ellatine made her second start of the season a winning one at Addington on Sunday, sprinting home sharply in the straight to score by three and quarter lengths.

Ellatine is out of the former NZ Trotting Oaks winner Ella Powell, a $100,000 plus earning daughter of Earl.

With just two crops of racing age in the Southern Hemisphere, Creatine is currently second on the New Zealand 4-year-old trotting sires table and third on both the New Zealand and Australian 3-year-old trotting sires list.
