A colt by Father Patrick was the top priced trotting colt, and joint highest priced trotting yearling overall, at the recently concluded Melbourne Nutrien Standardbred Yearling Sale.

The colt, consigned by Yabby Dam Farms, was purchased by Kyvalley Racing for $100,000.

The stunning looking colt, pictured, is the first foal out of the French bred multiple Australian stakes winner Destinee Jenilou (9 wins $109,755), who is a half-sister to the French Group 1 St Leger des Trotteurs winner Che Jenilou (6 wins $588,788) and a daughter of the Group 1 winning mare Pirogue Jenilou (5 wins $892,665).

Two other colts by Father Patrick also featured amongst the top trotting lots, selling for $50,000 each - one a colt offered by Yabby Dam Farms out of the 2015 Breeders Crown 2YO Trotting Fillies Final runner-up  Parisian Chic and the other a colt out of the stakes placed $100,000 earner Zhenya from the draft of Aldebaran Lodge Pty Ltd.
