Son of Vincent claims APG Gold Bullion Final

Vincent colt Staroftheshow stormed home to take out the Listed $100,000 APG Gold Bullion 3YO Colts and Geldings Final at Tabcorp Park, Melton on Saturday evening.

A maiden prior to the race, Staroftheshow notched up his debut win in style.

Starting from the outside of the second row the son of Vincent spent much of the race at the tail of the field before making his move at the 600m mark when the leaders were tiring and roaring home out wide to defeat stablemate Gawn and last season’s 2YO Gold Bullion winner Mister Hunter.

Staroftheshow rated a slick 1:53.6 for the 1720m trip and took his stakes earnings to $79,580.

Bred by Domenic Martello, Staroftheshow is out of De Lovely Rose, a Bettor’s Delight daughter of the champion New Zealand filly De Lovely.

Staroftheshow is the fifth stakes winner to date from Vincent’s debut crop of foals.
