Son of Vincent impresses in Kindergarten Stakes

Vincent has produced another smart juvenile stakes winner, with the unbeaten Vessem a gritty winner of the Group 2 Kindergarten Stakes at Wyndham on Thursday.

A winner at Addington on debut the previous week, Vessam sat parked for the entire trip but still proved too strong for his stablemate Major Hot, holding him out by a neck at the line, with five lengths back to the third placed Sodoyahavtime.

Vessem’s two race-day starts to date have netted him two wins and $33,000 in stakes-earnings.

Bred by Hazel van Opzeeland, Vessam is out of the Bettor’s Delight mare Imke B, making him a full brother to the 2022 Group 2 NZ Sapling Stakes winner Vinke B.
