Son of Vincent wins Breeders Crown Silver

Our Vinnie produced a stylish front running performance to win the Group 3 Breeders Crown 2YO Colts and Geldings Silver Pace at Bendigo on Tuesday night.

A short priced favourite, the son of Vincent showed good gate speed from barrier one to take the lead and looked to have the race well in hand throughout, comfortably sprinting clear in the straight to score by almost three lengths in a career best 1:56.6.

It was the second win of the season for the lightly raced Emma Stewart trained juvenile.

Bred by Alabar Bloodstock, Our Vinnie is out of the New Zealand bred Rocknroll Hanover mare Our Santa Catalina, the winner of 13 races during her racing career.

Our Vinnie is the eighth stakes performer to date from Vincent’s first crop of 2-year-olds, with his best youngsters to date the Group 2 NZ Sapling Stakes winner Vinke B, and Sherlock, runner-up in the recent Group 1 NZ Sires Stakes 2YO Final.
