Strong demand for Always B Miki yearlings at Lexington

Always B Miki’s debut North American crop of yearlings were keenly sought after by buyers at the record setting opening session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale on October 1 (US time).

A total of 18 lots by the stallion sold for an average of $111,667 on day one.

His average was second only to the champion sire Somebeachsomewhere amongst the pacing stallions with three or more lots sold.

Eleven yearlings by the co-fastest pacer of all time sold for $100,000 or more, with his top lot, a cracking filly out Lisjune, selling for $290,000.

At the conclusion of the five day Sale, Always B Miki was the leading first season sire with 56 lots sold for an average price of $71,321 (13 $100,000+ lots), placing him third amongst all pacing stallions behind only Somebeachsomewhere and Captaintreacherous.
