Sylvia Hanover too good in Shady Daisy

Always B Miki filly Sylvia Hanover extended her winning streak to thirteen consecutive races when claiming the $100,000 Shady Daisy for 3-year-old pacing fillies at The Meadowlands on Hambletonian Day.
Almost four lengths off the leaders at the three-quarter mark, Sylvia Hanover relentlessly wore down the margin and then dug deep to hold out the fast finishing Beach Cowgirl to score by a head in 1:48.6.
It was the Mark Steacy trained fillyʻs 14th lifetime win from 15 starts and took her earnings to $1,287,875.
The 2022 US and Canadian 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year is out of the Artiscape mare Shyaway, and is a half-sister to the $2 million earner Western Fame.
