Taking The Miki too good in WASBA Breeders Stakes

Taking The Miki continued her terrific run of form this year with victory in the $50,000 Group 3 WASBA Breeders Stakes at Gloucester Park on Friday.

Crossed briefly at the start, the 4-year-old daughter of Always B Miki soon retook the lead and looked to have the race in her keeping from there on in, with reinsman Chris Voak pinching a break in the back straight the final time on route to scoring by two and a half lengths from Three Rumours and Wonderful To Fly.

The 2022 WA Oaks winner has now won five of her six starts since resuming this season.

In total, Taking The Miki has won 10 races and almost $300,000 in stakes.
