Vincent sired the highest priced yearling by a first season sire at Sunday’s Melbourne APG Yearling Sale and the fourth highest priced yearling of the sale overall.

The colt (pictured), consigned by DNR Properties Pty Ltd and out of De Lovely Rose, a Bettor’s Delight daughter of the six time Group 1 winner De Lovely, sold for $58,000 to Nathan Purdon.

The Melbourne sale also saw another strong result for Vincent with a filly out of Bonton Lady selling for $25,000.

The sole Vincent representative at the previous weekend’s Brisbane APG sale, a filly out Versace Lady, was also sought after by buyers, selling for $27,500.

The upcoming New Zealand Bloodstock National Standardbred Yearling Sale will see the largest draft of Vincent yearlings to go under the hammer to date, with three entered in the Auckland Sale on Sunday and a further 19 to be offered at the Christchurch Sale next week.
