Fillies by Always B Miki impressed at The Red Mile Bluegrass Stakes meeting, with Strong Poison taking out a 2YO division on the Thursday and Niki Hill the sole 3YO Fillies division two days later.

The Ron Burke trained Strong Poison powered home late in the second of two $142,000 divisions for 2yo pacing fillies to collar her rivals and win by a neck in 1:51 and 3/5ths.

It was her fifth win this year and took her earnings to $315,000.

Strong Poison is out of the Rocknroll Hanover mare Fiyonce.

The final day of the Bluegrass Stakes meeting saw the return of the 2021 US 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year Niki Hill to the winner’s circle after being side-lined for much of the season through injury.

Parked through the opening quarter, Niki Hill moved up to take the lead, hitting the half way point in a swift 54 and 2/5ths.

Rounding the home turn a length ahead, Niki Hill maintained that margin to the line, comfortably repelling the efforts of this season’s richest 3yo filly to date, Boudoir Hanover.

The win was Niki Hill’s 10th from 13 lifetime starts and saw her become Always B Miki’s latest millionaire, with her earnings now standing at $1,040,284.

Niki Hill is out of the Bettor’s Delight mare Road Bet and is her dam’s second millionaire, with her having also left the Somebeachsomewhere entire Cattlewash.
