Sub 1:50 Creatine colt Jujubee was in a league of his own in the $253,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes (PASS) Final for 3yo trotting colts and geldings at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono yesterday, dispatching a quality field with ease in a new championship record.

Despite last racing four weeks ago, the Greg Wright Jr. trained colt made light work of winning; brushing to the lead past the quarter pole, he simply left the rest of the field floundering at the top of the straight, kicking clear to defeat Yonkers Trot winner Johan Palema and Hambletonian elimination winner Delayed Hanover by four and a quarter lengths.

His winning time of 1:51 4/5ths was a new PASS championship record, slicing 4/5ths of a second off the reigning US 3YO Trotting Colt of the Year Amigo Volo’s mark set last year.

The second equal fastest 3yo trotting colt of all time, Jujubee has now won 13 races and $300,107 in stakes.

A homebred, Jujubee is out of the race winning Cantab Hall mare La Cantera.

Not staked to the major races, his connections are considering supplementing him to the Breeders Crown at the end of October, where he may clash with the Hambletonian winner Captain Corey, whom won the PASS Consolation yesterday in the same time and manner as Jujubee, for the first time.
