New Group One winner for A Rocknroll Dance

The Choreographer became the latest Group 1 winner for A Rocknroll Dance when victorious in the $100,000 TAB Regional Championships – Hunter Final at Newcastle on Friday evening.

Caught wide off the gate, The Choreographer pressed forward to take the lead. Once in front, the 5-year-old justified his race favouritism tag, comfortably holding out his rivals to win by just over a length.

A Group 3 winner earlier in the year, The Choreographer has now won eight races and $108,620 in stakes money.

Bred by Jeff and Nea Costello, The Choreographer is out of the Modern Art mare Modern Day – a cross that is proving highly successful, with fellow A Rocknroll Dance stakes performers Whereyabinboppin, Our Money Rocks and A Spanish Dance also bred on this cross.

He is A Rocknroll Dance’s fifth Australasian Group 1 winner.
